The SaaS AI-Visibility League
Buyers increasingly ask ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google for the best tool in a category, and read the answer instead of clicking ten links. So we ran the free Avantas audit on 36 well-known SaaS products and ranked them by how ready they are to be found, understood and cited by those answer engines. The results are not what most people expect.
Methodology. Each score is the Avantas AI-visibility index: a deterministic, rule-based audit of a site’s public homepage and well-known files, checking seven things (crawler access, indexing and snippet controls, what is readable without JavaScript, answer coverage, comparison coverage, technical basics and structured data). No opinion, no AI guesswork. Scores measure whether anything on the site stops AI engines using it, not product quality or endorsement, and not whether an engine will choose it: that depends mostly on what each engine’s own search retrieves.
Some well-known products build their homepage entirely in JavaScript, which returns almost no readable text to a crawler, and some turn automated crawlers away. Neither can be scored fairly, so they are left out rather than given a misleading number, though a JavaScript-only homepage is itself a real AI-visibility problem. See the guide for why.
